Hooded Poncho Sweater and Distressed Denim

We’ve had such a strange start to Fall this year, I am way behind on preparing for the season. Now I most certainly don’t buy a whole new wardrobe each season but I do try to add key pieces to enhance what I already have as I find that just a few new pieces can refresh your whole wardrobe. Because the weather had regularly been in the mid-70’s and even as high as the 90’s you can gather that oversized sweaters, ponchos, cardigans and coats have not been high on my priority list BUT the other day I was in Target and saw this printed hooded poncho sweater (wow! That’s a mouthful betcha can’t say that five times fast) and I had to have it and it was a steal at 40% off.

The jeans are Old Navy mid-rise Rockstar jeans which I love because I dot have to pull them up all day or be worried about flashing people like I do with low-rise pants and the boots are Bandolino.

Poncho Sweater and Faux Leather Leggings

Hi! My birthday was this past weekend and I started off the celebration with lunch with the hubby.  We’re still getting used to all this free time, now that our youngest has started school.  I knew we were going to dinner the next day so I saved the dress I made for that (I’ll show you that later this week).  But I still wanted to pull something cute and casual together for my date.

Both the sweater and leggings are from Forever 21.  Now I know a lot of my plus size lovlies don’t usually go to Forever 21 because the store is mostly straight sizes.  However, depending on where you go, they are bring more plus size merchandise in store and of course, there is always online.  the leggings are old but I got the sweater a few weeks back with a couple of other pieces I hope to show you real soon.

Since it was my birthday, I got babe to take a picture with me (he hates pictures, always has)

 

He liked the one with his glasses on, but I love it when his glasses are off, he has the most adorable freckles EVER.

I have been many places and seen many things but even after all these years, my most favorite place to be is right next to him.  I’ll see you soon!
